Coeus was one of the Titans, the ancient gods preceding the Olympian gods. He was known as the Titan of Intelligence and Farsight.
Family and Role
Coeus was the son of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth) and was married to his cousin Phoebe. Together, they were the parents of Leto and Asteria.
Significance
As the Titan of Intelligence,
Coeus was associated with rationality and clear thinking. He was also considered to have the gift of prophecy and foresight.
Downfall
During the Titanomachy, the war between the Titans and the Olympian gods,
Coeus fought on the side of the Titans. However, he was ultimately defeated by Zeus and his siblings, banished to the depths of Tartarus along with the other Titans.
Legacy

Coeus was not as prominent as some of the other Titans, his role as the Titan of Intelligence and Farsight was significant in the mythology. He symbolized the importance of wisdom and foresight in a world filled with divine conflicts and uncertainties.
